Peer-Assessment
|
Students learn to more effectively assess their own work by practicing assessing. It is nice for students to be exposed to work which is not their own as it provides a comparison. Students get ideas from each other this way. Provide students with rubrics/checklists and an opportunity to assess their peer's work. It is best if students then have an opportunity to make corrections before the final deadline. This also cuts down on grading time for the instructor since students can catch many of the errors.
